Homemade Orange Jello Recipe

 Orange Jello

We’re love sneaking in grass fed gelatin into our diets, when its too warm to be drinking bone broth.  With our oldest recovering from scoliosis surgery this is especially important.  Its like eating bones! It doesn’t get more paleo than that.

Grass fed gelatin is also great source of collagen, you know the stuff people inject in their lips and foreheads?  Its edible botox! 🙂

Have you seen the list of ingredients in store-bought jello?  It’s like reading a bad novel.  This recipe is simple and healthy!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 2 T. great lakes gelatin (where to buy gelatin)

Directions:

  1. Pour 1/2 cup of orange juice into saucepan on low heat.
  2. Pour in your gelatin and mix well until disolved.
  3. Pour in the remaining juice and turn off heat.
  4. Pour into gelatin into a glass bowl.
  5. Let cool and place in the fridge for at least 3 hours.
  6. Enjoy!

20 drops DoTerra orange essential oil and a teaspoon of stevia. Orange food coloring if you wish. I used this in my orange salad recipe instead of orange jello and it was wonderful!

My husband is a Diabetic and I have Hashimoto’s AutoImmune Disease. I make Jello all the time. This Orange Jello Recipe I use Orange Tea with a smidge of honey. My other Jello Recipes, I use Cherry Tea, Lemon Tea, Passion Fruit Tea….etc. Just plain boxed teas with no added ingredients and NO sugars, or carbs And anything that calls for sugar, I use Lakanto Monkfruit Sugar and always cut my recipe in half because the sugar is quiet expensive, plus smaller desserts work better for us. Good Luck.

Is there a way to make it sugar free for a diabetic? Orange juice has too much sugar for a diabetic thanks.

Usually a capital T is a Tablespoon in a recipe. I hope this helps. Have a happy, healthy life 🙂

Is that 2 tablespoons, or 2 teaspoons in 2 cups of orange juice?
